Arena Grackle Noseband
Padded side rings sit over your horse's cheekbones for comfort, and two patches come with it, one sheepskin and one padded leather. Swap them while one is being cleaned, or use whichever suits your horse.
It is made for bridles in the Arena range, in European leather finished to go with your Arena saddle.

The chart shows the measurements of Arena bridles and reins in each size.
Finding the right size
- Compare the measurements with the bridle your horse wears now.
- Each strap has several holes. If you would be on the smallest or largest hole, look at the next size.
Checking the fit
- Done up on the middle hole, the three buckles on each side of the headpiece line up with your horse's eye.
- The browband sits just under the ears.
- The cheekpieces give one wrinkle at the corner of the lip above the bit.
- Leave about two fingers between the cheekbone and the top of the noseband, and two fingers under the noseband on the bridge of the nose.
- Leave about four fingers between the throatlash and the cheekbone.
- You can slide one finger comfortably between the flash and the lip.

Measurements are a guide only. They are rounded to the nearest 0.5 cm and then converted to inches, and the organic shape of saddlery means small differences between pieces are normal.

Will the grackle noseband fit my Arena bridle?
It is made for bridles in the Arena range. Choose the same size as your bridle.Can I swap the noseband patch?
Yes. It comes with a removable sheepskin patch and a padded leather patch, so you can swap while one is being cleaned or use whichever suits your horse. -
Choose the same size as your Arena bridle. The cheek and noseband straps adjust on both sides with stainless steel buckles, so share the adjustment evenly and check the noseband is not done up too tight.

- Clean the leather with Arena Glycerine Soap, let it dry, then condition it with Arena Leather Balsam, both found in the Arena Leather Care Pack.
- Take the sheepskin patch off before you clean the noseband, and use the padded leather patch while it is off.
